Miguelito's friendship with the spanish boy was very strong. They did everything together and watched eachother's backs. Miguelito's mother probably took miguelito to Mexico to get him away from their home and to teach him about the Mexican culture and way of life. Miguelito made friends with the spanish boy and the deaf mute girl. I think that the friends he made will last him a life time. The reason that his mom took him to Mexico was probably to show him where he came from and to remember his mother and father's roots. His mom took him to Mexico in order to bring him to his homeland and show him his family's past. She was trying to teach him his culture and how to deal with his father's death. They loved each other, good jobs, and they had a perfectly healthy son. But, then one day the father was killed in a freak plane accident. And their lives were completely flipped upside down. The friendships in the movie were special and important to Miguelito. They were special and important because Miguelito was going through a tough time, because of his dad\u2019s death and his mom just moved him to Mexico. Even though these kids were from completely different countries they were able to become friends. The boy in the movie had his spanish friend which probably supported him after the lose of his father, they were best of friends, they deffinately were alike and got over eachothers troubles easily together.
